Kinuri tutored my son in maths for his GCSes. She was an amazing tutor. Kind and helpful and able to walk him through all the things he found he needed support with. She was incredible professional. Daniel tutored my daughter last year for her AQA English GCSEs and I can’t recommend him highly enough.

My daughter was attending Charter East Dulwich and her November mock grades were quite low so we decided to look for a tutor, and thankfully found Daniel.

He started tutoring my daughter in the Christmas break right up until her summer exams. Her English Lit grade went from a 4 to an 8. When my son was in Year 8 at SMMA, Daniel tutored him at home in English, with a particular focus on improving his writing across all subjects. I always loved hearing them read sonnets together and discuss books. Daniel really engaged him with the material rather than just working through exercises. We stopped when Daniel moved to online-only lessons (it was also the summer break), but had a very positive experience and are definitely considering starting again for GCSE preparation.

My son now has online French lessons with Arianna. She is very proactive and organised, prepares work for each week, and is really helpful going through his school homework. She messages me a summary, including if he needs to work more on something.

My son worked with Arthur in the months leading up to his GCSEs. He’s dyslexic and English has always been his toughest subject. Arthur was brilliant with him and Leo actually enjoyed their sessions together – even the poetry ones! Arthur was engaging and patient but more than that, we felt he really cared about the outcome for Leo. He also set weekly homework to keep him on track. Would definitely recommend.

Daniel has made such a positive difference to my son Ege, not only in his results but also in the way he now feels about English. We are incredibly proud that Ege achieved Grade 9s in both GCSE English Literature and English Language, and Daniel played a huge part in helping him reach that level.

What makes Daniel such a special tutor is the way he connects with his students. He takes the time to understand what interests them and uses that to bring English to life. I particularly remember him encouraging Ege to take inspiration from something he genuinely enjoyed for his creative writing. Ege chose the world of Fallout and developed it into his own piece of creative writing.

One of the things I’m most grateful for is that Daniel made Ege genuinely enjoy English Literature. Despite not always having the most positive experience of English in the classroom, his lessons with Daniel changed his view on English as it stopped feeling like a chore and became a subject Ege could enjoy, discuss and be creative with. As a parent, seeing that change in him has meant just as much to me as the Grade 9s.
