We have been particularly fortunate to have Daniel tutoring our daughter for well over a year, and in this time, he has supported her to express her creativity, through answering essay questions with critical thinking, intelligence and artistic flair.

My son is about 15 lessons into his English GCSE tuition with Daniel. My son was apathetic about school and resigned in his attitude towards the humanities, not having strong, reliable essay-writing techniques. His skills needed refining (structure and method) so that he didn’t freeze in exam situations and could plan and execute, however arduous the task.

It’s still early days but we’ve had positive feedback from his teachers about progress in English – and the knock-on benefits is that his performance in History are being felt too. He is less stressed about his upcoming mocks and test conditions in general, as he feels better equipped and more confident in himself.

Daniel commands a gentle respect, and I liked that he got on my son’s level from the very start, trying to understand who he is as a person and what makes him tick. He is clearly a thoughtful, bright and emotionally perceptive tutor. His youth means he’s still close enough – and his experience still very relevant – to the youngsters he teaches. Don’t let this belie his intelligence though. If you haven’t read his final year dissertation, it is excellent – I can see why he got a First!

This got both my children through GCSEs. Our tutor was so clear and patient and both my teens really responded well and started to improve.
